NISSAN NAVARA D40

Available in a wide-variety of platforms from basic tradie-spec, right up to a more comfortable family & touring vehicle, or for weekend escapes up the beach or in the bush; the D40 Navara is a common sight out & about these days. Built in either Spain or Thailand, there are a few differences between each models, mostly aesthetically though. The most impressive version performance-wise is the famed STX-550, as its V6 engine produces an awesome amount of torque, even in standard form! Powered by a 2.5-litre 4 cylinder turbo engine (YD25) in a whole range of different power/torque outputs (Nissan haven’t made it easy!), or the 3-litre V6 turbo engine (V9X) – all versions respond well to modifications & tuning, especially the V9X. We have listed only 3 variations here (including the V9X), but the other YD25s fall in the middle of the 106 (low power) & the 140 (high power) variants with all the figures & gains being relative to those.
