Mitsubishi Triton MR 2021
We had a BRAND NEW Mitsubishi Triton MR, 2021 model in for some work. The Triton already had a fair bit of other aesthetic work done to the outside of it – including an awesome-looking aftermarket front bar, winch, 33-inch tyres; suspension upgrade; snorkel; and at the back of it it’s got a really nice fitted-out canopy.
The owner of this car is a tradie, so the Triton is used for work every day, but on top of that he loves getting away on the weekends and throwing the camper on the back, as well as hitting the beaches and bush. This Triton was in at our Gold Coast shop for the supply and fitment of a three-inch DPF-back exhaust system and an engine oil catch can. Plus we finished it off with a custom dyno tune based on the customer’s driving conditions and what the vehicle’s being used for, as well as the owner’s requests for more power and less turbo lag.

THE RESULTS: In standard form, this Triton had 94 Kilowatts of power and 332 Newton meters of torque, both at the rear wheels. After we completed doing all the work to it – the exhaust system and the custom dyno tune – it went up to 124 Kilowatts of power and 430 Newton meters of torque! These gains equate to over a 33 percent gain in peak power and 30 percent gain in torque for this tough-looking rig!
