FORD RANGER PXIII, RAPTOR & EVEREST
In 2018, Ford introduced the third & final evolution of the PX-generation Ranger, commonly known as the PXIII. Along with updated styling, suspension & technology, the PXIII continued to offer the proven 2.2L 4-cylinder & 3.2L 5-cylinder turbo-diesel engines, while selected Ranger & Everest models also introduced Ford’s newer 2.0L Bi-Turbo 4-cylinder diesel engine paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The PXIII generation also saw the introduction of the Ranger Raptor to the Australian market. Developed as a more performance-focused & off-road capable version of the Ranger, the PXIII Raptor was powered exclusively by the 2.0L Bi-Turbo diesel, producing an impressive 157kW & 500Nm in factory form. Despite its smaller capacity, the 2.0L Bi-Turbo delivers strong factory performance through its sequential twin-turbo system. Like the 2.2L & 3.2L engines, however, there is still considerable scope to improve usable torque, throttle response & overall driveability through custom dyno tuning. At Ultimate Diesel Tuning, each PXIII Ranger, Ranger Raptor & Everest is individually custom dyno tuned to suit the vehicle & how it is used.
