AMAROK NF
Introduced to Australia in 2023, the second-generation Volkswagen Amarok NF represents a major departure from the previous Amarok, sharing its platform, driveline & engine range with the Ford Next-Gen Ranger. The Amarok NF combines Volkswagen styling & refinement with the proven mechanical package found in the Ranger, making it a highly capable vehicle for everyday driving, touring, off-road use & towing. The Amarok NF is available with the same 2.0L Bi-Turbo diesel & 3.0L V6 turbo-diesel engines found in the Next-Gen Ranger. The 2.0L Bi-Turbo produces 154kW & 500Nm, while the 3.0L V6 produces 184kW & 600Nm from the factory. Both engines offer strong performance in standard form but respond extremely well to custom dyno tuning, with significant improvements available in usable torque, throttle response & overall driveability. As with the Next-Gen Ranger, the factory intercooler is a limiting factor when the Amarok is subjected to increased loads such as towing or touring with heavy loads. Under sustained load, increased intake temperatures can affect performance consistency, particularly when towing heavy caravans, boats or trailers. Upgrading to a quality aftermarket intercooler improves cooling efficiency, helping maintain lower intake temperatures & providing a much more efficient engine. At Ultimate Diesel Tuning, our approach to the Amarok NF focuses on delivering much more torque that is stronger for towing, sharper throttle response & improved overall driveability while maintaining reliability & durability.
